How to compare two YouTube videos side by side

Why side by side beats back to back

Watching one then the other asks you to hold the first in memory while the second plays, and memory is exactly what is unreliable about small differences in movement or timing. Side by side, on one timeline, the difference is simply visible.

Setting one up

Two videos of the same action almost never start at the same moment of it. The useful alignment is the instant the thing happens, contact, the downbeat, the first step, not zero on either clock. Getting that right is what turns two videos playing at once into a comparison.
