Does mirroring change the video?

No. The video still plays from YouTube's player, untouched. Mirror only flips how your screen draws it, the same way a mirror does, and a label under the player says so while it is on.

Is it OK to use someone else's YouTube video?

Mirror flips the picture left to right. Their left becomes your left, so you can follow the screen the way you follow a teacher in a studio mirror.

Why mirror matters

A performer facing the camera moves to their right while you see it on your left. Most people learn by copying what they see, so they either learn it backwards or spend the whole time translating. Mirrored, you just copy. One honest side effect: any text in the video reads backwards while Mirror is on. The video itself is never changed; only the way your screen shows it.

Count yourself in

Set the tempo and a one or two bar count-in. After each pass the video stops, you hear the clicks, and the section starts again. The clicks play only while the video is paused, so they lead you in rather than sitting on top of the music.

Build it up to speed

Start at half speed and switch on Speed up. Every pass comes back one notch faster until you are at full tempo. Set a number of passes if you want the drill to end on its own.

Send the exact drill

Copy drill link carries the mirrored view, the loop, the speed and the count-in. A teacher can post one link per section and the class opens each one ready to go.
