playback.tv does not host video. Every Playback plays through the official player of the site the video lives on. That shapes what we can act on.

If your concern is the video itself

Report it to the site that hosts it. When a video is removed at its source, every Playback pointing at it stops playing, because we hold no copy. For YouTube, use YouTube’s copyright process.

If your concern is something on this site

We do host the titles, notes and comments people write. If any of that infringes your rights, send a notice to copyright@playback.tv including:

  • the work you believe is infringed
  • the playback.tv URL where it appears
  • your contact details
  • a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised, and that the information in your notice is accurate
  • your physical or electronic signature

We can also remove a Playback on request. That takes down the page and its discussion, though the video remains wherever it is hosted.

Counter-notices

If something of yours was removed and you believe that was a mistake, write to the same address explaining why.
