How it works
Pick the moment. Watch it again. Send it.
Playback marks the exact seconds of a video that matter, so you can loop them, slow them down, set them side by side and share them. Start with one Playback: it takes about a minute.

Step 1 of 3
Make a Playback
One moment of a video, with a start, an end and what you noticed, behind a link that opens right there.
- 1Paste a YouTube, TikTok, Vimeo or podcast link into the box at the top of any page.
- 2Press Start where the moment begins. It plays from there; press End where it ends. Or press Mark the last 8s (the M key) to take the seconds you just watched.
- 3Drag either red pin to adjust it, or nudge an edge by a tenth of a second. Preview plays it back.
- 4Give it a title, and if you like, What should people notice? Then publish.
A private Playback is a draft: you can still move its start and end. Publishing fixes them.

Watch it closely
Every Playback page has the tools to see what actually happened.
- 1Loop is on, so the moment plays again and again.
- 2Change the speed, from a quarter speed to double, on YouTube videos.
- 3Step one frame back or forward with the arrows beside play.
- 4Under More: Hold to slow (it plays slowest while you hold, and stops on the frame you reach), Mirror, Theater, and the keyboard shortcuts.
On a phone, the two pads under the video step a frame at a tap.

Loop part of a video
The quickest tool: one YouTube video, one passage, on repeat. No account, and nothing is saved anywhere but the link.
- 1Paste a YouTube link. It loads and starts by itself.
- 2Drag on the bar to draw the part you want, or move its start and end.
- 3S slows it down, M mirrors it, and B loops the last few seconds you watched.
- 4Share the link: it opens on the same loop for anyone.
Go further
Each of these starts from a Playback. Reach for one when you need it.
Put moments in order with a Cut
Two to twelve moments played back to back, from one video or from up to six, in one link.
- 1Open the Cut builder and paste a video.
- 2Mark each moment with I and O (in and out), and press Enter to add it.
- 3Add moments from another video whenever you like; each keeps its own speed and note.
- 4Publish, and the Cut plays them in your order, cutting from one to the next.
“Add to a Cut” on any Playback page starts one from that moment.
Make a CutLine moments up with a Compare
Two to four moments side by side, played together, so the difference is plain.
- 1In each box, find one of your Playbacks, paste a Playback link, or paste a YouTube link and mark the moment.
- 2Press Set 0:00 here on the same instant in each, so they line up.
- 3Watch them side by side, one at a time, or flipping between two.
- 4One set of controls plays them all, with loop and speed.
Keep them together in a collection
Playbacks, Cuts and Compares in your order, with a note on each, behind one link: a lesson, a highlight reel, a study list.
- 1Press Add to a collection on any Playback, Cut or Compare.
- 2Pick a collection or start a new one, then reorder and write a note on each.
- 3Share it with anyone with the link, or keep it to yourself.
Draw the play on a whiteboard
A court, field, rink or ring drawn to the rules, with players, passes and runs, to show what happened or what should have.
- 1Pick a sport, or a blank board.
- 2Place players, then draw runs, passes and shots between them.
- 3Share the board, or start one from a Playback with Whiteboard in its menu.
Ready when you are
Paste a link, mark the moment, give it a title. Your first Playback takes under a minute.
