Reclaim your Playback handle
If you used a handle on the original Playback.tv, which closed in December 2025, you can ask to use it again here.
playback.tv/writeforcal: Reserved for a possible previous owner.
Start by signing in with Google. We reply to the address on that Google account, and if your claim is approved, the handle goes to that account. You don’t need to choose a handle first.
What happens after you submit
- Your claim is received and given a reference number.
- A person reviews your evidence that the handle was yours on the original Playback.tv.
- We may ask for more on this page, for example a short code to post on an account you linked.
- If the claim is approved, the handle is yours on the new Playback, on the Google account you claimed with.
Claiming a previous handle does not restore videos, followers, account data or other content from the original Playback.tv. The domain changed hands after that service closed; the new Playback is a different product and holds none of its records.
